Born in Sudbury, Linda Mullola is a full-time artist who has won numerous awards for her acrylic landscapes of Northern Ontario. As an active member of the Sudbury artist community for many years, Linda has participated in many juried shows: the La Cloche Art Show, the North of 17 Art Show, Cavalcade of Colours Show and group shows with the Sudbury and Walden Art Clubs.

  In 2006, Linda joined the Greater Sudbury Artist Studio Tour and has enjoyed being a member of the tour ever since. Her Studio/Gallery is located in her home on Long Lake where she welcomes visitors during the studio tour, and throughout the year. Living on Long Lake all of her life, water is a constant theme in Linda's paintings. She is drawn to painting compositions with strong lights and darks, vibrant colour contrasts in a landscape catch her eye. Linda also enjoys painting landscapes with soft light and colours, landscapes that leave the viewer feeling peaceful and calm.

  Although mainly self-taught, Linda studied art in school and has refined her acrylic and watercolour techniques at workshops taught by regional and international artists. A number of notable artists who have influenced her in her artistic pursuit are Ivan Wheale, Jack Reid, Vivian Ripley, Brian Ayteo and Gordon MacKenzie. In November 2009 Linda participated in a week long workshop with world-renowned artist John Seerey -Lester in Venice Florida.
